We arrived early in the day and didn't find parking to be a problem early on. We chose to take the hike up to 12,005 feet and enjoyed the breathtaking and breathless (due to altitude!) view of the surrounding mountains. Once we came back down,...More

If you're taking the Trail Ridge Road, you would be remiss to stop before you get here. The scenery is unreal, the altitude breath-taking (literally!). The gift shop is the best in the park, so if you're looking for that perfect souvenir, you'll find it...More

After the long hike (in a car though), this is a welcome place to rest, grab a bite or coffee and shop for curios. From inside, as you savor your coffee, you can have stunning views of the mountains.

The rangers and volunteers can provide some interesting information. There are a couple of hikes close by. Elevation is over 11,000 fee so take it easy. Restrooms available and clean. Parking can be at a premium at busy times.
