Spent a couple of hours in the area in early evening. We were on the "hunt" for moose to photograph, but no luck. Birds were plentiful and the muskrats were very active the day we were there. Trail is gravel/level with nice views of mountains...More

A fabulous walk around a beautiful mountain lake that just about anybody can do. We stop several times to get pictures of the awesome views. It's also a great warm-up for getting a little more acclimated to the altitude before heading to something more.

This is a nice walking path around the lake. They also had had paths farther behind that we did last time we visited and one that went up higher that we did not go on this visit.

The .9 mile trail around Lily Lake is ADA, and mostly flat. It is an easy hike alternative, and is wheelchair accessible. As with the other trails in RMNP, pets are not allowed on the trails. Another trail, The Lily Ridge Trail, is more difficult,...More

We took this hike after a day of moderate hikes (sometimes in snow) and it was a relaxing way to end our day. On the southeaster part of RMNP and right off the road. Mostly sunny hard-packed trail, great for older people who want to...More

This is a nice side trail to the Lily Lake Loop. I would definitely start the trail at the far end of the lake and not at the beginning. At the beginning there is a series of high stone steps (it is easier to go...More

We walked the flat path around the lake and hiked the higher trail. I liked both but the 'steps' in the high trail were a bit much for my wife. The first ascent is steep. Also the trail isn't well marked up on top. I...More

A very popular lake side walk. I believe there are two loop lengths to choose from. Good nearly any time of year.
