I really liked hiking up this trail but if you are a flat lander make sure you take it slow. There are some great views at the top that makes the huff and puff to the top for this flat lander worth it.

This was a nice little walk up through the tundra to some interesting rock formations. There are wildflowers to see and plenty of marmots and pikas if you look around for them. There are nice views from here, especially over toward the Lava Cliffs. I...More

This is another stop in RMNP that is amazing with all of the views and scenery. The weather this far up changes rapidly so be prepared for anything. It was sunny and then raining with a 20 degree drop five minutes later. The tundra environment...More

Its windy and cold, but well worth the climb to the top. I am in shape so it wasn't that difficult for me to climb to the top, but others were having to stop. You have to stay on the path for certain parts of...More

Enjoyed the walk through the tundra. Saw several marmot and a pica. Easy with some elevation to interesting rock formations and beautiful views. Get out and enjoy the walk but please stay off the tundra.

Rock Cut Pull out is a great place to see the elusive Pika as well as marmot. And the chance to see Bighorn sheep which sometimes can be found at the mineral lick here.

The paved short hike leads to long range mountain views that are comparable to the Swiss Alps. We saw a herd of 75 elk grazing on the mountain meadow across the valley at the base of another mountain. It felt like I was at the...More

So cool to walk along the alpine tundra! Lots of ground squirrels and such, wildflowers were pretty. If you're on trail ridge road stop and stretch if you can find a place to park!
