My son and I spent the weekend hiking around the Rockies and picked this trail due to recommendations. It is a great moderate trail. The views are abundant and you cannot take a bad picture. Can't wait to come back and hike it again.

This trail is about 5 miles round trip. The first part of the trail is normal hiking through wooded trail mostly. The second half opens up to better all-around views of the landscape. When you get to Ouzel Falls, the trail will take you to a small bridge with limited access to the falls. To get a better view, you... More

Ouzel Falls is the last of the three falls you see on this hike. Calypso Falls, Cascade Falls, and then Ouzel Falls. You climb some 900 feet as you are hiking. If you are not use to the altitude take you time. This is a 5.8 mile round trip hike. All the falls are pretty so if you do not... More

Right now autumn is beginning and this trail is absolutely beautiful. I suggest if you go on a weekend that you get there early to beat the crowds. We got there after sunrise and were greeted by a mule deer eating breakfast, enjoyed the hike with beautiful yellow Aspen's and had the waterfall at the end to ourselves for about... More

One of the most popular places in RMNP. A nice afternoon hike. Lots to see and smell and hear. Take you time and enjoy this.

This hike with a 900-foot elevation gain goes through the forest and alongside a very picturesque river, past several falls. This hike doesn't have many big scenic vistas, which is maybe why it wasn't very crowded on a beautiful August Sunday afternoon. The slope is fairly consistent throughout the entire 2.7 miles, making the elevation gain very doable in a... More

This was our first hike in RMNP and it was a great way to be introduced to the park. Parking can be a problem. There only a few slots near the trailhead, so you might need to park some distant from the trailhead during peak season. It was nice that they had volunteers to let you know if the lots... More

We loved making it to Ouzel Falls. You can make this hike longer or shorter depending on where you park your car :) To get to the falls itself, you need to step to the left off the trail a bit to see it's true beauty. This is not an overly steep climb, and enjoyed by our entire group all... More

This hike is a new favorite. If I had friends visiting the state and could only give them a one day highlight of the Rocky Mountains, this would be it. Since I live here, I will do this hike over and over. The hike is mild, the scenery is gorgeous and the falls are absolutely stunning!! The 3 falls -... More

This is a rigorous hike for people who are not regular hikers or live at this altitude. My heart rate was certainly increasing in some spots and so was my wife's. However, the falls are very impressive (not spectacular) and there are a few other water features along the route that are very pleasant and refreshing on a hot day.... More
