We got up at 4:30 in the morning to go out and take sunrise pictures, and it was well worth it! Sprague Lake is just beautiful! The water was like glass and just as I was setting up my shots a mule deer walks around the other side of the lake. What a beautiful place!

This trail is great, especially for those who want great views without working up a sweat. If you're into photography avoid late afternoon as the sun will be directly in your shot of the great mountain views to the West.

One of our favorite places to visit in Rocky Mountain National Park. The trail is easy for virtually any walk no matter the season. Our last visit was right after a spring snow storm, so the trail was a little soggy, so be prepared with appropriate foot ware. The views are absolutely FABULOUS, with the Divide reflected in the blue... More

The trail is .5 miles around a beautiful lake. We went on April 21 and there was very little snow on the trail. Quite a few puddles from melting snow so plan accordingly with your shoe choice. The trail is flat and offers some amazing views of the mountains. There are 2 pit toilets and ample parking. Always good to... More

Stopped here at a Ranger's suggestion and it was absolutely lovely! Nice little walking trail and bridges around the most gorgeous blue mountain lake. We sat on a wooden bench and just "drank" it all in. I will never forget the sight - it will be embedded in my mind forever. Perfection.

On a day when every man & several dogs decided to visit the RMNP we stopped and leisurely walked around the partially ice & snow covered Sprague Lake. A cool spot & walk , open to all levels & a peaceful interlude, just remember the crowds can get huge !! The View back over the Lake looking at the 'Tall... More

Absolutely beautiful and breathtaking lake surrounded by mountains. The lake has a trail around it, which offers best views of the Rocky mountains. The time we visited was perfect since there was snow on the mountains and the park was warm. The mountains reflection falls on the lakes providing you with a stunning view. Not to miss this place for... More

The trail around this lake is flat and is 1/2 mile long. A great little hike for all ages. The mountain views on the back side of the lake are awesome. It is a great hike in any season.

This is a beautiful, flat, short walk around the lake. It cross a small stream where you can see fish in crystal clear water. In the background are peaks of 11,000 to 14,000 feet that is a bit snow- capped in October. It's just a beautiful, relaxing spot with an interesting history. I highly recommend this little walk.
