Diabloo lake is the best for all activities. You would hardly get any view of Ross lake from here. Since it is on the way forward in the cascade loop one can spend 5 mins stopping by.

This is a must stop for everyone especially after a long drive in the North Cascades National Park. Every time my hubby and I visited this place in September, it's always cold, and whether it's sunny or gray, rainy day, be prepared to wear warm...More

Served by Goodell Creek, Newhalem and Colonial Creek campgrounds along Hwy 20. Hiking trails for all ability levels - even the easier trails are scenic, but the higher you climb, the greater the visual rewards.

This is another beautiful stop along the North Cascades Highway in the Park. The view goes on forever with snow capped mountains and glaciers and greenery as far as you can see. This is the great Northwest.

This lake is just amazingly pristine. You will enjoy it. The water is always cold but oh so refreshing on a hot summer day.

Driving the scenic North Cascades Highway (WA-20) through the North Cascades National Park complex is by far the most popular way to visit; however, the highway actually passes through the Ross Lake National Recreation Area which bisects the national park into two sections north and...More
