Stopped here for a look while travelling through Joshua Tree National Park. Amazing piece of nature as it actually looks like a skull. Well worth stopping and checking out as on the main road through the park.

We made a return trip to Skull Rock at Joshua Tree National Park druing August this time. As such, it was easier to get a nearby parking spot to go walk up to it and take soe photos.

It is what it says - a rock that looks like a skull! Worth a stop if - like us - you are exiting JT on the road passed but I wouldn't visit here at the expense of more interesting places in the Park

It is right beside the road. You can climb up on a rock in front of it for a good photo. There is a trail you can take.

Just off the road. Lots of parking. Great photo opportunity. Trail starts at the base. Lots of people seem to take the trail after taking photos from various angles to get the best image of Skull Rock. Worth a stop

The rock formations in the park, in general, are really amazing. This one is interesting and right along the road, so very easy to see.

Loved our time here, a bit of advice...if camping do not camp neat any popular landmark as photographers start at 10 pm and are out until sun up all over the park
