You can get into the river for some swimming here. Be mindful of extremely slippery rocks and a current that can knock small children over in certain places. Great place to relax for an afternoon.

the road needs some work but if you want to adventure out and get close to the water like we did this fits the bill. Several areas to pull off and hike short walks to the water. We even saw some deer. no bears though.

Greenbrier is a place that most visitors don’t know about. You can wade through the river with water just to your knees or less. Its a soothing place to just spend family time. Vry relaxing and the whole family loves it.

There is no place like Greenbrier. It's so very beautiful. There are not regular bathrooms. Composting type toilets. And yes they are kind of gross. But the peace and beauty is worth the sacrifice of modern facilities.

This was an awesome place to have a picnic and hang out by the water. The kids loved playing in the creek. I am so glad we found it. I highly recommend it.

We had a great time parking along the park's entrance (there is a small paved lot) and spent a few hours wading in the water and exploring the river. We initially drove all the way to the picnic area (the path is pretty rough and...More

Even if the park is busy, Greenbrier is usually very quiet. Good place for a picnic, or to get near the river.
