The Colter Bay visitor center is very interesting. Tells a lot about the area, and the Native Americans that lived in that area of the country. Lots to do in the area around the visitor center too.

We went to the visitor center because the children like to complete the Junior Ranger Program in each national park that we visit. We always like to do one of the ranger led activities. For this particular program we learned about the stars. We had...More

I went to the visitor center to ask about a bird I had seen, 3 people behind the desk had no interest ! I was very disappointed in the lack of knowledge or seeking someone who might have interest in my questions.

This area has a great place to eat, The Ranch House, and a good shop at the visitors center. Everyone here was very friendly.

Fair amount of information offered on both the national park as well as the Native American history . I actually expected more but you still see a few artifacts.

We rented kayaks here to paddle into Jackson Lake. The views of the idsland with the Tetons behind was stunning. The paddling was the best ever.

It's been 20 years since I "stumbled" on this museum. But anyone going to Jackson Hole is subject to my raves about this little known gem. The artistry presented by the indigenous peoples of this country are stunning and the presentations bring the humanity of...More
