Best opportunity for windshield tourism of the Grand Teton range. Closest one can get to these magnificent high mountains and the companion lakes. Easy, slow drive.

This drive is unbelievably beautiful with overlooks for picture taking. The aspens are changing now and are beautiful. Sadly a few days recently the view was hazy due to fires inMontana.

It was a great drive. We also had downloaded a guided tour on our iPhones giving us fun facts and really good information on all turnouts. Highly recommended and it is a good one to do the next day after a big hike.

There are several turnouts and overlooks along the road. Most of them have plenty of parking and the views are amazing. We stopped at several and observed wildlife such as antelope, bison and beaver. On good, clear days, you'll have great views of the Teton...More

Spectacular drive with even more amazing views of the Tetons and the surrounding areas. Plenty of places to stop safely and take some photos.

The Teton's are so magnificent, reflected in water, visible through or over trees with the occasional wildlife sightings. You can't just do this once, you have to do it several times at different time of day to experience how the light plays on the land...More

This drive is a must-do. All the great views of the Tetons are from this road. Unless you plan to hike in you won't get better shots of the mountains.

The drive around Grand Teton park is superb. Not only are there plenty of places to pull off the road to enjoy and photograph the scenery, but the roads are much quieter than in Yellowstone, and there are fewer RVs (possibly due to the rule...More

I can't answer all of your points but I think it's too much. I think it's around 30 minutes drive to the Grand Tetons from Jackson Hole. I wouldn't do the whole 42 miles, I would do the section that is closer to the... More

Our family of 7 went the 1st week of June. Many U.S. schools are still in session. We did not come across many elementary aged kids & families. There were still plenty of people but probably not peak crowds. The snow... More

The elevation of nearby Jackson, Wyoming is about 6,300 feet above sea level. Jenny Lake which is on the loop is about 7,000 feet. And the lake is adjacent to the Grand Tetons. I figure as long as you do not drive up... More
