Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is the first stop on the red shuttle to Hermit's Rest. Be sure to get off here and soak in the views the overlook offers. Great views overlooking the Bright Angel Trail. Great stop here!

The view is awesome! Love the scenery, I can sit there all day looking at God's creation. If you go to Las Vegas, it is worth the 4 hours drive!

This was our first stop on the red line to Hermits Rest - beautiful views of the canyon and you can also make out the switchbacks and trails crisscrossing below as well as the Grand Canyon Village on the rim. I wish we could have hiked down there a bit!

Our family of 6 enjoyed this 30 min hike. Not a difficult hike, and we all enjoyed the views along the trail. The views at the end of the path were amazing. Kids 10-17 loved the fact that when were on top of the Arch we had driven by and seen through the tunnel windows.

At this point many of the overlooks seem to feature the same view but what makes this unique is not what lies outward but what lies below. It is here you get an appreciation for the scale of the descent by being able to see the full amount of switchbacks on the trail below and learning how the trail used to be shaped. A short walk from the village on the bus only portion of the rim trail.

This is the only Lookout point where you can see the hotels and the village looking back along the Rim Trail. The views are great here and you can see the Bright Angel Trail (as the name would imply).

The Trailview Overlook is one of several viewpoints located on the South Rim of Grand Canyon National Park that gives visitors a different perspective of the park while offering unique and spectacular views that you expect to see in this wondrous landscape. It is located about two miles to the west of Hermit Road's Hermit Road Junction. The shuttle bus is available to take visitors to the overlook or you can opt to walk about a mile to the point. There are a number of stairs to reach the overlook but the view is rewarding. It provides the only view of Grand Canyon Village and views of the Plateau Point and Bright Angel Trails, Bill Williams Mountain, the San Francisco Peaks and Red Butte. The Trailview Outlook is two miles from Powell Point, which can only be reached by foot. Bicycles are not allowed on the trail but portions are paved and accessible to wheelchairs. The Grand Canyon is one of nature's true wonders and should be explored from every possible vantage point. This is one of them.
