This is one of the best places to view sunset over the Grand Canyon. Make sure you plan to arrive early especially if you want to sit as the place fills up quickly.

There is nothing you can say about the Grand Canyon that would come close to the real experience. If you haven't been, go.

The South Rim has many "points" and they are all wonderful. There is so much to see, and each view is slightly different, especially as the light changes. Hopi Point was somehow even more special. Take the shuttle and stop at them all.

We went to Hopi point around 5:30 for 6:12 sunset and stayed there until after 6:30. The sunset was magnificent from beginning to end. Only shuttle buses are allowed in the Hermit road so make sure you find a parking spot near the shuttle stop....More

To get there, you have to take a drive "to the left". Is it worthy? I am crazy a bit and say -- all of them are worthy... so, IMHO, you should spend time / invest time and go there -- take a ride --...More

The only way to this point was on the red route bus where you can hope on and hop off. It is on the way to Hermits rest and part of the Western side of South Rim, well worth a visit

This is a great spot for a sunset, but it is very crowded. My husband and I chose to walk along the rim until we reached Hopi Point. We were the first to pick our spot to enjoy the views, but were very quickly overran...More

This is the spot to see the sunset! Breath taking and all the pictures that have been taken does not do the canyon justice. You need to be there in person!

Sorry for late reply. The free shuttle bus that travels over the park will go to Hopi Point. It's the Red line from memory.
