This was our best viewing of the canyon. Arrived before 9 am and had the entire place to ourselves. The canyon was highlighted by the morning sun and the colors and shadows were amazing. Don't miss this drive out to Desert View!

There are so many beautiful places to stop and take photos along this drive, including the beginning on the grand canyon, where you can still see the Vermilion Cliffs in the background. Just after passing in between the large cutout in the mountain, there will...More

This is a really interesting drive on the east side of the grand canyon. There are many places to pull over and take in the wonderful views and amazing vistas, A great thing to enjoy if you have your own transportation.

There are numerous pull outs to see the canyon and most can be reached by car rather than by Shuttle. As a result you have a lot of flexibility, but parking can be challenging. Views from the various points are remarkable.
