The perfect place to start your trip to the Everglades.

A great place to get info on the park and learn about all the things you will see and the different trails. If you have kids, ask for the Junior Ranger Activity guide.

This is your standard issue visitor center (which is a good thing). Educational exhibits, enthusiastic staff, and a short video/movie about the park. We were pleased.

The Coe visitors center had a little display of all the culture of this area!!The trails at Royal Palms are amazing! East walks with big benefit! We heard bellowing male alligators showing off for a lady friend! Birds, gators, fish, turtles, gnarly trees, tree snails, wow!!! Must see! Don't miss the 2pm guided tour of the Nike Missle !

Stopped here before taking anhinga trail hike. Lots of exhibits and information to look at. Learned facts about gators and was able to identify several other animals we'd seen in the park based on the displays.

Nice enough visitor center and we stopped in to talk to one of the rangers to plan which spots to visit. Already had a good idea based off trip advisor, and his recommendations largely supported what we had already planned. Rest rooms were clean and they have a nice little gift shop as well.

A very good start to our adventure. And the gift shop attendent let me in at 4:30. We had waited to the end of our day to purchase our trip so we thought the closing time was 5 but the very accomodating lovely woman let me in so I could get some postcards, a beautiful picture book, hat and shirt.... We had some help in planning our visit to the Everglades from the very helpful and friendly staff at the Ernest F. Coe Visitor Center. It is located at the Florida City entrance and we picked-up some literature and watched the film. Well done.

Lots of information about the different views of the water issues facing south Florida. A must see stop on the way into the park if you have a few minutes to spare.
