Good to listen to the dirver of the boat who has known the palce since he was 14 (believe?). He knew about the habits of alligators, their life and the habitat a lot. Not many alligators to see though. Recommend the Shark place a few miles away.

take in the scenery listen to the education you get along the way from people who have spent there entire life in this paradise, I've been coming tom this area of SW Florida for 25 years and never get fed up of it a wonderful piece of the natural world

Paddled some of this waterway as part of an 8-day kayak tour that also took in Florida Bay and the beaches of the Gulf.

We didn't kayak independently but took a small boat tour into the Everglades. Really worth it. We recommend the trip out from the Ranger station outside of Everglade City.

Easily one of the most beautiful places in the world. I decided to do the Waterway by kayak with a friend of mine. We did not follow the exact path, but we zigged and zagged back and forth, and saw as much of the area around here as we could over a ten day span. Neither of us had any... More
