You get a real feel for the place by walking through the Hammock. There was a lot of bird chatter as we approached but there was only silence whilst we were in the hammock. Some great photographic shots. Well set out boardwalk to make it...More

Late in the afternoon on a March Saturday, my wife and I strolled the boards of the Mahogany Hammock and practically had it to ourselves. We saw two other couples, but that was it, as we wound our way beneath the hammock. It was quiet...More

The highlight of this easy trail of about 1 km is to see the red Mahogany trees and a very high chance to see woodpeckers as well. Very nice

Worth a quick stop, but the path is fairly short, goes through several types of forest in a short way. Worth the 10-15 minute stop

The picture is an accurate depiction of your view. We walked the boardwalk loop and were able to learn a lot about the trees in this hammock. I really didn't know hardwood trees grew in the Everglades, and I had never seen a mahogany tree...More

This is a boardwalk over swampy Water and mangroves. We started it but did not want to go too deep as we did not have mosquito spray.

This is a pretty easy walk that is great for kids to stretch their legs while driving through the park. Many informative signs along the path to let you know what you're looking at. Beautiful scenery along the way. It was a chilly January day...More
