This is an amazing visitor center and is a must see/do while visiting Denali National Park. Take your time to carefully observe and read all the displays!

Stop here to get the lay out of the park and plan your adventure with the rangers.... how to best see the mountains ahead and Mt. Denali teasing through the clouds... . spend a few hours before boarding the Alaska express train through the park

This very large and well equipped facility had much to offer. Eatery, gifts, information and all staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Bathroom facilities were clean and well-maintained. Very impressive center.

ANY National Park Visitors Center is a place to not miss! It is full of displays, demonstrations, information, interesting Rangers willing to share their knowledge with you. Always an opportunity to catch a movie introducing you to the Park itself.

The Visitor Center was a stop after we completed a tour of the park. The rangers were exceptional, the video helped to answer some of our questions and the gift shop was nice touch. However, I recommend stopping at the Center prior to getting a...More

Very large Visitor Center with very helpful rangers. Our family of 7 (children aged 14,12,11,9,5) chose to see the sled dog demonstrations. That was a huge hit with the kids (my wife and I enjoyed it as well). We would strongly encourage you to do...More

Amazing park, very knowledgable staff members, lots of information at the visitors centre. Buses to and from town every 10 minutes. Paved walkways to the centre make it easier on some of the elderly visitors.

A restroom stop affording you a pit stop. There's a sparsely appointed gift shop. Still there are some very nice artwork of Denali and some very beautiful jewelry and carvings.

Great job by the park system offering a good interpretive approach to understanding the area and the park. The campus is arranged into several stand alone facilities that blend with the surrounding park area. Visit in late September for bargains in the gift shop.

We watched a film on those who have climbed Denali while visiting here, it was educational and enlightening. The visitors center is clean and the views are wonderful

Isn't this frustrating? Getting information on the McKinley Chalet is very difficult. Even the cruise line we booked our visit with could not tell us anything. I think you will get the most reliable info from the park... More

You can take any of the NPS buses from the Wilderness Access Center (WAC) to whichever stop along the route you would like and enjoy a day hike, assuming you have a ticket as some of the buses sell out. The cost depends on... More
