Lot of exhibits and information about the history of the park. Nice walking/hiking trails located around the visitor center. Bottle refill station. Clean bathrooms.

There is a lot of information presented. Exhibited and video. A lot of stuffed animals and maps of the park. Well worth the stop. Liked it a lot. And plenty of parking.

Isn't this frustrating? Getting information on the McKinley Chalet is very difficult. Even the cruise line we booked our visit with could not tell us anything. I think you will get the most reliable info from the park... More

You can take any of the NPS buses from the Wilderness Access Center (WAC) to whichever stop along the route you would like and enjoy a day hike, assuming you have a ticket as some of the buses sell out. The cost depends on... More
