Road to the official Denali NP entrance. 15 miles of a slow climbing road with some nice viewpoints. At the end there is a free parkinglot and thw start of some wonderfull hiking trails. If you don't like walking and climbing.... don't go.

We booked a tour service bus and later found out the park provides the same service for free from the Visitors Center. You can ride out to many points along the road and get off, then catch the next bus going back. In any case...More

Taken along Park Road in Denali National Park and Preserve by the Natural History Tour. It was here that we were able to get a look at Mt. Denali while not covered by clouds. Awe Inspiring.

Saw every animal imaginable!! Bull Moose, Moose Cow, Caribou, Dall Sheep, Ptarmigan, Bald Eagle, Golden Eagle and many others! Even saw a sleeping Grizzly Bear!!!

Yes. It'll be about 4 hours one way but there are rest stops during the way. Pack more food than you think and bring water.

There is definitely a fee - depending on how far you are going anywhere from 25- 50 dollars if I recall correctly. I would to the Denali National Park website (NPS) and click on reservations and they can give you exact... More
