I'm sure it's not always like this and we look forward to returning after the construction is over, but right now with high crowds and construction you just have to be really patient and plan on a lot of time. Still worth doing, every stop...More

Even though the rim drive was't completely opened when we visited, it is worth the drive. Each pull off has a different view of the lake. Each one seems prettier than the one before! The views of the lake from all angles is a good...More

If you're afraid if heights, thus is a challenge! I am, and felt I got tested more than a couple of times. The roads lacks railing, and the hillsides are steep... But the views are stunning, just make sure you make a few stops at...More

Another lovely visit to Crater Lake but be aware that about 1/4 of the drive is closed due to snow still on the road. This also means that 4 of the 7 must see sites can not be accessed as well as some of the...More

Great colors and vistas. Amazing place. Rim village is crowded. Get food at mazama just below the south entrance.

There are places to turn off the road, but some of it is under construction. The Watchman's Overlook parking area is under construction.

Rim Drive is an easy drive. Check ahead to make sure it is open, as part of it was still closed when we visited in July.

The day we visited the road was only partially open due to late snow. Nevertheless the part we were able to drive gave us some lovely views of Crater Lake from different angles. Such beautiful scenery all around.
