WAnted to take a boat trip but later found out that we had to book it in advance. Hiking down to the water is very nice. hiking back is tough but totally worth it. Love the rim drive.

We were fortunate enough to be driven around the rim, as it is difficult to know where to look next. Take your time and stop at all the viewpoints.

If you are in Crater Lake National Park make sure you take few hours to do this drive. It took us about 3 hrs to complete it. We pretty much stopped at every scenic outlook.

Stop at every turnout you see. The view is different from every location. We never got over the awe of seeing this pristine lake. I doubt you would every find a more beautiful setting.

When we were there the trolley had stopped running (apparently it stops mid-September - good to know) so we had to drive it ourselves. Then the West Rim was closed so our only option was to go East. Unfortunately that put us on the "hanging...More
