We opted to take the elevator down 750' to get to the start of the self guided tour. If we wanted the exercise and had more time we could have walked down through the natural entrance and could have paid for a guided tour. An...More

Impressive caverns, and still a live cave. we only had time for the left-turn tour, (there are 4 in total) and it was very well done as the ranger stayed in character (rangers choice, ours was Jim White the discover and original caretaker of the...More

We arrived on a Saturday, and it was National Parks day (free-entry) so it was decently crowded. The cave was interesting to see, felt very similar to what you’d see on a Disney ride. It’s pretty far out of the way. We were on a...More

This is one of the most impressively large natural cavern I've ever been to (and I've been to a bunch in Europe). They have a large selection of stalactites, stalagmites, columns and everything in between (or speleothems). You also have a choice of a bunch...More

We went in November and there was ample parking and the Park was not crowded. The Visitors Center was fun to walk through -- lots of interactive exhibits, videos, etc. There is also a replica of the underground caverns which was great for me to...More

6 Stars. My words would do no justice to describe what you will see here. The darkest place I have even been was inside this cavern when the ranger turned off the ambient lights. It's so dark you can't see ****. The Bats will blow...More

Took the natural entrance, a long winding road going down into the original entrance of the cave. As it appears only a small piece of the road is visible as it keeps winding down the cave (over 700 ft) because if finally levels out. A...More

Yes and I would bring the wheelchair. They have a elevator you can use to go down and back up to the Big room area. It is too steep to walk down and takes about an hour. You will enjoy it. While your there the restaurant in... More

I wasn't aware of those tours. We did the complete walking tour. You enter from the outside and see parts of the cave that those who take the elevator do not. We thought that was the best.
