Cassidy Arch is fine, but there are plenty of other arches that are much better. The key is not the arch but the journey (hike) to the arch and, once arrive there, the scenery surrounding the arch. The hike to the arch takes you through...More

Beautiful hike up about 700 ft and 1.5 miles in to a lovely and very accessible arch. Got to watch rock climbers rappel down! Highly recommended!

Gorgeous views. There is some scrambling. It's a long way down, so make sure your children can follow directions and are old enough that you won't worry about them falling.

If you can only see one thing in Capitol Reef, see this! The trail is strenuous at times but not overly difficult (I wouldn't consider myself "in shape", and I did it just fine). The last part of the trail you will need to follow...More

We hiked Cassidy Arch in early March. Lots of climbing, but a great view from the top. Watch carefully for the cairns!

The trail is rough at the start especially in the heat. Its a little hard to follow at the top, just watch for the cairns. No shade on most of the trail. Good work out and beautiful arch! Bring a good amount of water.

I saw Cassidy Arch as I put together a few trails together to make a big loop (Frying Pan, Cohab Canyon, Navajo Knobs, Grand Wash and Scenic Drive). I have seen a lot of epic arches in Utah's many National Parks, but this one's setting...More

This is a great walk to a superb arch . Careful navigation at the end across awkwardly angled slick rock is necessary following the little cairns. You can nearly always see the next one from the one you're next to so pay attention! There is...More

Just 3-4 miles long but up some steep steps - this walk is not too difficult but you have to be reasonably fit. The arch at the end is not the only prize. The views the whole way once you reach the top are stunning....More
