Rent a jeep and go check out this amazing place! I said it more than once while my husband navigated the road - "I can't believe they let people do this!" Super twisty Shafer Switchbacks down into the canyon where you will have to back up and find a slightly wider place if you encounter someone else coming at you.... More

We were only in the White Rim Road for a short duration, after driving down the Shafer Trail. The views were impressive and I would suggest driving the road to Musselman Arch; at the very least. You can turn around and head up the Shafer Trail, or take the Potash Road back to Moab. Either way you will experience views... More

This was one time I was glad I was on a tour as you are really high up and close to the edge of the cliffs. It is scenic and beautiful. The vistas are beautiful.

We traveled a relatively short distance on the White Rim Road from the Shafer Trail to Mussleman Arch. I would love to take 2 or 3 days and travel the entire White Rim Road but we loved the portion of the road we saw. The Colorado River Overlook and Mussleman Arch were both interesting to see.

This trip is a bucket list item for sure if you love the southwest, rocks and awe inspiring vistas. We took a two day jeep trip and it took all of it. If you like to go fast this is not your trip. The photo ops ranged from magnificent landscapes to desert big horn sheep. Morning light and evening sunsets... More

This was the most spectacular drive on the planet! IT SHOULD BE ONE WAY! there is a drive up the face of a cliff, and by the time we got to the top, there were other drivers on their way down. Had it been half way through the trip up, there would have been no way for either party to... More

We drove this road in one day. It took approximately 11-12 hours. We started at 6:00 am and we returned to Moab around 6:00 pm. There were a lot of scary moments when our car climbed up the really steep section and our driver did not see what will be next… Do we have turn to the right or to... More

My wife and I spent three nights camping along the White Rim Road. Back country permits are required for camping and camp sites are limited and in high demand during spring and fall. I spent some late nights on line getting the sites I wanted. Also please note no camp fires are allowed along the road. You have to bring... More

I love this route. We only did a short amount of it on this trip and we were in Moab for Easter Jeep Safari. To do this road you should take at least three nights and camp along the road. There are designated sites and you will need permits. There is so much to see. We stop every quarter mile... More

We had a late start that day and got to the beginning of the road out of Moab at about 11:30 am. The views were spectacular, with rock formations towering 1000 feet above us and the Colorado/Green River almost a 1000 feet below us at times. The rock formations and colors were amazing. I told my friends that it was... More
