Easy arch to "hike" to (it's a half-mile walk roundtrip on a clearly marked path) and what a great view at the end! Missed going at sunrise, as suggested, but it was still cool. I'm guessing you wouldn't be disappointed any time of day.

Absolutely worth an early wake up and driving and hiking in the dark. This is something you have to experience for yourself. Instead of downloading that sunrise pictures on internet. From Moab approximately 50 minutes drive but take into account open rage for cows from the park border or so and that you have to drive slow for that reason.... More

This is a beautiful place within Canyonlands N.P. There is a large car park overlooking Aztec Butte, where the track starts. It as an easy track which takes you out to the edge of the cliff. That is where Mesa Arch stands above a drop of hundred of feet, In the morning it frames the sun on the valley below... More

Mesa Arch is a nicely-formed, precariously-mounted opening in the canyon wall overlooking the White Rim. I visited May 10, 2017, as a morning storm lifted.

I wanted to catch the sun rising through the arch like I've seen in so many photos. It's a 40 mile drive from Moab out to the arch, so I got up really early at my hotel in Moab and made the drive. I arrived 1/2 hour before Sunrise only to find the place already crowded with photographers and tripods.... More

Nice but not the most interesting. Head over to Arches if you want to see a good arch! But some great views of the canyon. We found a spot and stopped for lunch.
