The drive out to rainbow Point was a great drive along a windy road. We spotted some Pronghorn Antelope and Mule Deer along the way and the viewpoint was outstanding.

What a great ending to the 18 mile drive! You can see so much from Rainbow Point. It's a lovely place to stop and take those last photos of Bryce Canyon.

In isolation, Rainbow Point is a beautiful scenic site. However in comparison to Inspiration Point it is a poor relation. It is still worth visiting and there is sufficient parking for shutterbugs.

At 9115 feet above sea level this is the highest point we reached at the Bryce Canyon. Beautiful views of the canyon (see pics). Dress warmly.

The easy hike to get to Rainbow point is worth it. It has great mountain view as well as cliff views. This is not on par with the big hikes in the park but it is worth your time.

Hi Jean, we drove ourselves around the park so I can only advise on our timings. From the visitor, it is about 18 miles to Rainbow point, so that's a leisurely 45 minutes drive allowing for a few stops. At Rainbow Point... More
