We started our hike at Sunrise point and hiked via Navajo to Sunset Point. It is one of the most magnificent walks. The vista starts off with the bright orange sandstone trail with many switchbacks ( zig zags) each one revealing truly breathtaking scenery. The...More

Easy to get to and popular views over the ampitheatre - trails leading down to lower parts of the canyon - make sure you have good footwear - The spectacle is amazing and well worth the trip.

This is near the park entrance and offers hiking along canyon rim to other scenic vista spots. Parking can be tight due to number of people staying to hike. Bring proper hiking gear.

We just couldn't get enough of the scenery here. Every viewpoint is beautiful, and each one is a little different from the others.

We did not catch the sunrise, but the view at 8:30 was also nice. The snow had been removed from the trails, so we were able to get a closer look before hiking down into the canyon.

This is another superb lookout and also is the trailhead to the popular Queens Garden Trail. Would love to watch the sunrise here sometime!

Our purpose was a photography excursion and we explored Sunrise Point at sunset, after we arrived from Las Vegas. Clearly the shadows in these narrow gorges were spreading quickly as the sun fell in the sky, but the beauty of the formations' sculpted shapes and...More
