The entire Fairyland Loop is a little over 8 miles. The trail was 1/3 snow and 2/3 mud on the day in January we hiked this trail. The mud made it a bit more difficult, but it was a great hike.

This was one of the best hikes I have ever done. Gives you the full range of what makes Bryce amazing. If you go clockwise you start with great views along the rim. You then drop down into the canyon an see the formations up...More

Slightly off the beaten track, so less frequented, and with great views towards the amphitheatre, a wonderful trail.

We hiked this trail starting at Fairyland Point around to Sunrise Point and then back along the rim to Fairyland Point. The hike took us about 4 1/2 hours with lots of photo stops. This trail descends down into the canyon for a ways and...More

This hike is absolutely stunning and a must do if you are looking for a day hike in Bryce. We started at sunrise point, but you can also start just outside the park at fairyland point. We hiked counterclockwise, going down into the canyon first,...More

Sunrise over this immense canyon is an incredible experience. Windy and cold in mid-October. Parking was plentiful, expect to walk at peak viewing times. (No bathrooms - plan ahead)

Very nice hike. There are no cairns because this is a well developed man-made trail. Start and complete the portion on the rim trail first, which is the first 2 miles of the hike. The remaining 6 miles are into the canyon. You basically have...More

This is a long hike that takes you right into the canyon at Bryce. You can find the trailhead at Sunrise point, and then you descend relatively gently down into the canyon. The route takes in all sorts of wonderful landscapes and rock features. We...More

The Fairyland Loop is amazing. Takes you to a see so many different types of formations. The hike is difficult if you are not a 'hiker'. It is long with various inclines. But not much climbing (over rocks and such). The loop will take about...More

This is a fun trail that takes you right down into the hoodoos. You'll see spectacular rock structures, gorgeous colors, winding switch backs, tunnels, drop-offs and probably some wildlife. I recommend connecting trails so that you go from Sunrise Point to Sunset Point. While there...More

Also, since there are no lights at night near the rim, there will be many places near the rim to see and photograph the Milky Way with no light interference.
