A short hike from the visitor center gets you to Gunnison Point for great views in to the Canyon and of the river below.

Don't miss this park if you are visiting the National Parks in Colorado. The visitor's center has a great film about the area with history and explanation of the formation. Fascinating.

you go the the Black Canyon for the views... (if you are not into canyons and rocks and views... do NOT go there!), so, this is one of them that were picked up for you and... tell me... did you like it?

If you take a short walk starting from the balcony of the visitor center to this view point you will be pleasantly surprised of the stunning view you have. We stayed here for a while to enjoy.

Traveled from Crawford State Park approximately 12 miles. Great short hike on Chasm Trail - beautiful/spectacular views. Take the 7 mile round trip hike (about 2-3 hrs) up to the top of Green Mountain for a challenge. Shorter hike about 3 miles roundtrip to Exclamation...More

This is a great overlook to see the Gunnison River below. It is close to the visitor's center and can be knocked out while parked at the large parking lot. This overlook is just one of many stunning views in this park.
