Truly interesting hike with unique features! We were somewhat concerned that it would be too rugged for the kids but neither struggled and younger ones made it up the ladder without issue! Small kids and elderly with walking difficulty or dizziness issues should not attempt....More

Being an open hike park, a hike is what you make it. For the outlined trails, this was the best. During the trail there's a cool ladder to go up/down a steep hoodoo. Some of the ledges are only about 2.5-3 feet wide. If you...More

We weren't sure what we were in for when we started this hike as we were just going by a recommendation in a book. We were so delighted at the views and the fun/adventure of climbing the "ladder". I wouldn't recommend this for young kids...More

We really enjoyed this trail. It would take someone about 1 hour unless you like to explore every place you can like we do. My favorite part was a flat area deep inside the formations. You felt like you were in a different world. There...More

As soon as you enter Badlands, there is a parking area with three easy trails: Notch, Door, and Window. That is how I would rank them. Notch is the best of them and includes a sloped ladder climb to get to the meet of the...More
