This is a nice air of arches but there's quite a hike to get here and many arches that are easier to access. If you like hiking then enjoy the hike and the arch. If hiking isn't your thing then go see one nearer with the road.

I wanted to get to double-o arch. After mustering courage to go up the first "fin", the hike was easy to get to Partition and Navajo arches. A bit past there you encounter another "fin" to navigate so I turned back (and some guy gave me a hand to study my nerves going down the first "fin", which along with... More

First of all this hike is not for small children or people that have issues w/climbing or poor vision. To enjoy this hike to the fullest start early mornings a) to get a great parking space and b) to be able to do all the little side trails on this trail. And do the loop! This is the best trail... This is the best hike in the park. Takes in several formations, including Landscape Arch, and gives you the opportunity to traverse the 'fins'. Seriously hot and carrying water is essential. Saw several maniacs struggling on without - they did not look good. Double O Arch is great - one of the best in the park - worthy of the... More

I was so surprised at how lovely this arch is! The trail fell into the difficult rating but I didn't think it was too bad. Just make sure you have some shoes with really good traction because you have to cross a lot of slick rock. There is some exposure to height and narrow pathways. Bring plenty of water since... More

This walk is not for those who have physical difficulties, there are some rock stairs, boulders, and ridges that need to be traversed and watch for guide cairns in order to get to this arch. I found the hike exhilarating, but I'm also not afraid of heights. Once you get to the arch take a look around go through the... More

Well worth the walk to Double O it might not have the views of Mesa Arch and Landscape Arches but it is cool how there are two basically on top of one another.

We hiked up to Double O from the main parking area near Devil's Garden campground. This is not a hike for the faint of heart as you are out along the rock "spines" with NOTHING to keep you from falling down one side or the other. Regardless, if you can muster the courage, this is a wonderful hike involving a... More

The hike up to the Double O Arch is nice and easy but involves a bit scrambling and paying attention to the cairns that show you the way. Amazing rock formations and not too crowded after the Landscape Arch. You need good shoes!

The most strenuous portion of this hike is just beyond the Landscape Arch. Great scenery the entire way to the Double O. Bring plenty of water. A half liter isn't enough and I'm constantly amazed by the unpreparedness of people I see on these remote trails. Our biggest challenge was finding the trailhead beyond the Landscape Arch. If you read... More
