My husband & I hiked the Bubble Rock trail with our adult children recently. We were a bit hesitant because we thought that it would be too challenging, but it was not. Although the path was a bit steep in some spots, it was definitely...More
This hike is all about seeing the famous bubble rock which was transported some
40 miles during glacier times. We drove to the Bubble trailhead arriving around 915am. There were no parking spots in the small maybe 12 space lot. Luckily someone left shortly after...More
If you visit Acadia park, don't miss this out. First I suggest to visit Jordan Pond to get a closer look. Then you drive another 5 min or so, you will reach the parking lot. The only complain here is parking lot is very small....More
We parked by the Jordon Pond House in the morning and took the trail to circle the pond. At the north end of the pond we found the trail to Bubble Rock atop South Bubble. It was about a half mile rock scramble straight up....More
Wear good shoes and expect some up and down on the trail. This is a fairly easy walk with fabulous views over the valley as well as the ‘bubble ‘ which is a very large boulder deposited on the edge of the cliff by a...More
Hiked this up with my 8 yr old daughter. There are some easy and challenging parts, and totally attainable by anyone 5 and older I would think. The view up top is pretty, what is really amazing is this giant rock perched up at the...More

After a nice hike from the bus stop we found ourselves mesmerized by the bubble rock. It looks so precariously placed in position like it could fall any moment! Highly recommend this hike, great place for a family photo!
This was a great hike for children. It wasn’t too far and the view was very rewarding. We also brought our two dogs and it wasn’t too strenuous on them who usually go for short walks. A great view of Jordan Pond as as well.
If you are only hiking one bubble, I would plan on at least one hour. You will want to linger at the top as the views of Jordan Pond are magnificent. If you are hiking both bubbles, plan on an hour and a half. It is well... More
If you are only hiking one bubble, I would plan on at least one hour. You will want to linger at the top as the views of Jordan Pond are magnificent. If you are hiking both bubbles, plan on an hour and a half. It is well worth the time and the effort, but be sure to arrive early in the day as parking is very limited and fills quickly. Enjoy!
