Jordan Pond is the 6th stop on the Acadia free park shuttle. Walk past the restaurant, down a short mostly level path to the edge of the Jordan Pond with spectacular views of the the distinctive mountains, known as the "Bubbles," located at the far north end of the pond. The mountain on the left is called North Bubble (872... More

We were there November 1st, so off season, we didn't go to boat or enjoy water activities, and not too many people driving the Loop Road or taking in locations at Acadia National Park, so no one else was even nearby, we parked in parking lot and walked down to the water edge and it was so worth the 20... Nice scenic view though a small place. Good restaurant close by to sit, eat and relax. Made a stop here during Acadia Park Visit.

Jordan Pond is located on the park loop road (in the two lane section). It has a restaurant (Jordan Pond House) which is a bit expensive (i reviewed it separately). The pond has a path going around it which can be hiked. For those of you with lots of energy you can hike all the way around it (3.3 miles)... More

This is the perfect place to follow up from Cadillac Mountain (you also must go there!). The popovers are the best and the jam is perfect. I highly recommend going to Jordan Pond.

We visited Jordan Pond twice- once, to start our hike, and the second time to finish it. The pond is approximately 2.5 miles in circumference, and it took us approximately three hours to hike the full distance (we're in our early 60's), including a stop for a picnic lunch to take in the scenery. When we hiked clockwise, the first... More

What a beautiful spot. It is so peaceful and picturesque. Everywhere you look is stunning. The water is crystal clear, the air is fresh and the smell of pine is amazing. Well worth your time.

This is one of the most beautiful bodies of water I have seen. So very clear and the mountains in the background make for some great photo ops

The weather was pretty bad this day but we did walk down to the pond and the bridge. The views were quite nice and I think it would be a nice area to explore further. We ate at the restaurant which was great! The grounds are lovely too.

Very easy hike that you can make as long or short as you like. Counter clockwise is the easiest way to go if you don't won't to go all the way around. Was told there are some rocks and wooden walkways on the left side of the path if you go clockwise that some in our older group didn't like.... More
