Lovely walk

This was a fairly easy walk, with a few caveats. Much of the early part is shaded, but it is a boggy area so you are walking on 2 pieces of wood to protect the ecosystem. This didn't make for a very natural walking motion, and I definitely felt it in my hips after awhile (maybe because I'm short). You... More

This starts and ends at the Jordan Pond house which has outside eating during the warm season and a cafe inside otherwise. There is a great gift shop with surprisingly good prices. There are 2 distinct sides to the pond path. One side is a dirt path with some rocks to climb around. The other side is an elevated plank... More

so worth going to but so crowded. We never miss going though. So worth the effort and crowd. The popovers are famous so don't miss them. So pet friendly,. Nice hike around the pond too.

Parking in the north lot (not at Jordan Pond House), on the path down to the pond take a right and go all the way until you see a choice of trails. The first will be an easy hike to another path that will take you to Bubble Rock. The next one will be a more challengin climb, but not... More

Jordan Pond Path was one of my favorite hikes of our trip to Acadia. A 3.3 mile loop which circles Jordan Pond and is essentially flat gives wonderful views of the Bubbles and surrounding area. The trail varies from gravel to log boardwalks, around boulders and over beautifully constructed bridges. We visited late May and felt as though we had... More

Jordan Pond is the 6th stop on the Acadia free park shuttle. Walk past the restaurant, down a short mostly level path to the edge of the Jordan Pond with spectacular views of the the distinctive mountains, known as the "Bubbles," located at the far north end of the pond. The mountain on the left is called North Bubble (872... More

We were there November 1st, so off season, we didn't go to boat or enjoy water activities, and not too many people driving the Loop Road or taking in locations at Acadia National Park, so no one else was even nearby, we parked in parking lot and walked down to the water edge and it was so worth the 20... Nice scenic view though a small place. Good restaurant close by to sit, eat and relax. Made a stop here during Acadia Park Visit.

Jordan Pond is located on the park loop road (in the two lane section). It has a restaurant (Jordan Pond House) which is a bit expensive (i reviewed it separately). The pond has a path going around it which can be hiked. For those of you with lots of energy you can hike all the way around it (3.3 miles)... More

This is the perfect place to follow up from Cadillac Mountain (you also must go there!). The popovers are the best and the jam is perfect. I highly recommend going to Jordan Pond.
