lovely church . so ornate.certainly worth a visit. not one church has been destroyed in earthquakes here on island.

Wonderful building inside. Great paintings and articles inside for viewing. Can light a candle for a loved one as normal. Need respectful clothing entering but they do provide clothes also as necessary

Fortunate to enjoy sharing the Easter celebrations with the congregation in this stunning setting. Amazing decor, especially the iconostasis and mosaics.

We only had a quick look as it was busy for Easter Sunday, what we did see was stunning. The inside was beautiful decorated and definitely worth going back for another look.

a beautiful hand painted church throughout.so peaceful and serene.the home of saint dennis. his coffin thing is opened daily about 11am to 11.30am for the greek faithful to offer thier prayers. well worth a visit.

Stunning Church, though some locals we were talking to said it was a cathedral. Great little taverna's opposite too.

We don’t usually visit churches on holiday, as we prefer to be respectfully dressed while doing so. However, we found ourselves at the church and dressed appropriately so went inside. The iconography is gorgeous - every inch of the interior is either gilded or painted....More

Visited the site in Macharaido whwere there is a church and a bell tower and where a lot of the artefacts at Agios Dionisios originated from. This church is well worth a visit. Very peaceful and full of artefacts with stories attached

Hi Nikki H . I believe its the 24th August ..but still go to the church as its so beautiful and we was luck to get their on a friday and saw some of the friday mass .have a lovely holiday.
