From early morning as the mist descends the Shannon Estuary to the Wild Atlantic Sea, to the setting of the sun in the late of the evening, ShannonFerry will take you and your vehicle on this memorable 20 minute journey across the estuary linking the iconic tourist destinations of the Banner County of Clare to the Kingdom of Kerry.

This is a lovely experience for visitors who would like a short break in their journey to relax as they sail across the majestic Shannon Estuary. And if you're lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of the dolphins, which in the summer, can sometimes swim so near the ferry, as if just to entertain you.

As the only vehicle ferry trip on the main spine of the Wild Atlantic Way, this invigorating journey allows you experience the rugged nature of land and sea as you breath in the fresh salty sea air that encapsulates Irelands Wild Atlantic Way.

We took the Shannon Breeze ferry on our way to Dingle. It leaves on the XX hour. You just enter the ferry terminal, queue up and wait for the ferry to load. You pay on the ferry. The process for loading is quite quick once they start getting the cars and trucks on. It was a breezy crossing and a... More

Everything was well organized and managed by the boating staff 😀 The trip across takes about 30 minutes from loading to driving off the ferry.

On our CIE Tour of Ireland recently, our bus loaded on the Shannon Ferry to cross the River Shannon. Its a large ferry that had 3 large busses on it, a travel trailer and several cars. Still plenty of room for more. The ride was quick and smooth.

The Ferry cuts about an hour and a half off of a journey between Co Kerry and Co Clare. Regular and a short crossing - about 20 minutes. Toilets and a coffee/snack kiosk onboard.

Shannon Ferry is efficient, on time and a great little adventure. A quick 20 minute trip for 18 Euros ( covers the car and passengers !). It saved us a bit of time on our trip from the Cliffs of Moher to Killarney

No need to book it's as you come. Avoid a detour to Limerick on the wild Atlantic way. That's a good solution. One every hour for 20 min crossing

Thank you for the positive response. You can pay onboard if preferred but it is better value online. In high season we operate every half hour and every hour in low season. More

As we were staying in Glin the ferry was just a few minutes drive away, we paid €19 to travel over to county Claire by ferry by car.it was efficient and well organised, shame we didn't see any dolphins, too early in the year I guess

Great views of Shannon estuary would recommend getting out for walk around on departure as the crossing is quite fast..Good way to travel from Dingle to Cliffs of Moher.
