An astonishing find in the middle of the Everglades, Ave Maria Catholic Church was inspired by the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright and, despite its Gothic inspiration, was only dedicated in 2008. Originally built for the Ave Maria University, it is now the parish church...More

This is a beautiful cathedral built in 2006 by the CEO of Dominick’s Pizza. There is a community starting to be build in the area as well. The church was very impressive and we enjoyed the visit and will return again.

After dinner one night, I went over to the Oratory and joined a group of men doing a holy hour. The architecture is a mix of 'good modern' and classic design elements. Take some time to pray along the alter rail where you can see...More

Not sure how you would describe the architecture but the fact that the church is the central part of the town gives it a European feel. While churches across America are being turned into 5 star restaurants here is a statement by a developer that...More

We decided to move to this town three years ago, and the Ave Maria Oratory played a role in our decision. This church is so beautiful and inspiring, it is well worth the visit.

Yes, the church in Ave Maria is open daily. Have a good trip and I hope you enjoy Ave Maria. There are restaurants and shops to enjoy as well. In addition, there is the Ave Maria University campus.

I would not wear them to a service or mass. We found the dress code to be very conservative. Many ladies wore veils/mantillas.
