I was encouraged by my Icelandic host to take part in one of this country's favorite forms of exercise and pastimes, swimming and soaking. So I went to Lagafellslaugh and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. As a non-Islandic speaker I wished all the signs were translated into English (two key ones were), but I soon figured out the lay of the... More

Due to the geothermal pools and abundant hot water, public pools are a social event in Iceland. This large pool in the city of Reykjavik had hot tubs of differing temperatures and a salt water pool in addition to a lap pool and slides. Remember to bring your own towel!

One if the best pool area in capital area. Rather cheap fun for the whole family, great kid pools and saunas for parents. Good slides. Recommend!

We visited Lagafellslaug, during our stay in Iceland as friends had recommended visiting a local pool during our holiday. The outside pool was the right temperature for swimming in, on a snowy March day. The Hot pools were fabulous, although one was a bit dirty (the reasoning for the 4 star rating, rather than 5 star), we also tried out... More

This is our local pool which has become quite the tourist spot. If that doesn't bother you then its great for couples and families a like. A huge outdoor pool for swimming, kids pool with slides and lots of lovely hot pots. There's a stream room too but its usually roasting!! Wash before you go in, just do what's asked... More

This swimming pool is one of the many great swimming pools in Iceland. This one is one of my family's favourite since it has 3 different sizes of kid's slides as well as the tiny slide for the wee ones in the baby pool. The baby pool is warm enough for the parents to sit around while the kids play... More

We love pools in Iceland and this pool shows it off. With a 25m pool to swim in and play, with a shallow playpool for the younger kids(the water is warmer then the big pool but cooler then the hot pools), 3 hot pools(40° and 42°) and a cold pool for the adventurous. Oh, and a saune of course. 3... More

Every time I may go, I go. It is lovely, comfortable and well furnished with both humid and dried saunas, cold pot, good idro massages and design of the building.
