Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The building itself isn't anything special.
However, the observation tower is worth going. (See separate review) The shopping mall inside the building is mediocre at best. (See separate review)
What is interesting is that this building and many of the surrounding buildings are all connected by an elevated covered walkway. You can avoid the sun and the rain and get to/from Sakuragicho Station protected from the elements.

Landmark tower is Yokohama, you can see it from almost anywhere. It has a really big shopping center inside, and one of the best customer services I had ever seen from the shopping staff: One staff lady there did her best to help me find exotic fish slippers until we found out that the store was closed and it only sells in summer in Japan anyway. They got an observatory as well if you want to pay for it.

Entrance fee is 1000円, not that expensive comparing to other places. Place is quite easy to find. The view of Yokohama Bay is absolutely stunning at night!! Highly recommended to visit at night.

Stay in the Land mark tower Hotel, shop in the Landmark Plaza or the Markis. Eat in the 100 of restaurants in the area. See a free 3D show in the Docklang, have Ice cream from Cold stone and end the nigth at the 70th Floor at the LandMark tower Hotel with a nigth cap...just breathaking views...and superb coctails.

The landmark tower provides the best 360 degrees view of the city. All the close attractions like Mirato Mirai, Chinatown, Red Brick Building, and the Bay Bridge. On a clear day it is possible to see Mt. Fuji also so don't forget the binoculars.
Be sure to note the speed of the elevator when coming up or going down. The elevator has a special indicator above the doors.

The views were great, altough Mt. Fuji stayed hidden. The tower is right on the water so the view of the ocean is phenomenal. Depending on the weather you can see for miles even to Tokyo Tower. My wife keeps taking me up these towers.

Went to the observation deck without regret to see Mt Fuji. The shopping mall/department store is great and some are expensive and some inexpensive, this is one of many things you should check out if traveling to Yokohama.

We were delighted to stay in Yokohama for a recent business trip to Japan. While I was quite intimidated going on my first Asian trip, it was a great comfort to me to stay at this wonderful hotel. Many of the staff spoke English extremely well and all were exceptionally friendly and helpful. It is easily in walking distance to sites around Yokohama and a wonderful "landmark" for those days you just want to wander and explore the area.
