Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was really crowded everywhere, impossible to walk into a restaurant. At popular meal times, there would be queues of at least 10 parties. Even at a timing of 2pm for lunch, there were still queues of at least 4-5 parties outside each restaurant. Luckily, there is a food court at the bottom with free and easy seating. It wasn’t easy to get there, though. Had to walk through this carpark. It was also not easy to get a seat at 2pm and the crowds started clearing out only at 3+. The food court provided free water which was great.

There is a huge Daiso there and also a Disney Store which is supposed to sell exclusive merchandise. It looked like it was mainly targeting young women with bags/cosmetics/things like mirrors with Disney characters, and not so much the souvenir type of thing you would hope to buy from within the parks. Nothing much for kids there and is quite expensive as compared to the stores within the parks.

In front of Maihama Station.
I went there on a holiday between lunch and dinner and was able to enter the restaurant right away without having to wait in line.
There were some food stalls with long lines, but they were only a few.
Rather than waiting in line at a crowded restaurant inside the park, I thought it might be worth walking and leaving the park for a while.

Ikspiari is the Tokyo Downtown Disney. It is one of the stops on the monorail so it was very convenient to get to, especially since we stayed at the Hilton Tokyo Bay. We came here twice during our 3 night stay at the hotel.

One of the times, we came here to pick up dinner around 8:30pm. Unfortunately, one of the places I was hoping to go to was already closed. So make sure you check hours if you go later in the evening. We did watch the short fireworks display though from here which was a surprise!

The main shopping we did while here was at the 2 Disney stores. One is Bon Voyage, which has the same items as in the parks. It was very busy when we were there. The other is the Disney Store that has unique items not found in the park. The prices, I feel, are a bit higher than in the parks, but still cheaper than you can find in the US. I bought a few Baymax items that I liked more than what the parks offered.

I often go there because it's often quiet and I can buy everything I want.
However, when I was shopping at Seijo Ishii and waiting in line to check out, I felt someone looking at me as I was looking at the products on the shelf next to the register, so I looked up and saw a couple with a man tanned and wearing all white clothes glaring at me. I thought, "What?" but it was my turn to check out so I just ignored him. I think they probably mistook me for looking at the products on the shelf and thought they were looking at me as I was facing the same direction.
The next day I saw the couple at Disney Sea, yelling "Go for it!" in a loud voice. I don't know if it's some rural excuse, but they are the type of person who will go after women and children alike based on their own misunderstandings, so be careful if you see them.

I went to lunch before I saw the Shiki Theater Company. It was relatively early, so it was not crowded and comfortable. I didn't know the destination and asked the information person, but he kindly told me. The atmosphere is good, everything is there and it is fun.

Great to have a shopping mall near Disney that has everything. We booked 3 days in Disneyland/Sea for the children and we rushed to do all our shopping in central Tokyo area before going to Disney. But I was so wrong.
There are so many restaurants and shops in the mall. The happiness was real when we discovered there was Lupicia retail store in the mall.

Easy access from disney monorail with plenty of food options (including TGI fridays if you need US food...we didnt). Great place for quick souvenirs and starbucks if you need it. Much larger than expected with 2 minute walk to train station to access all of Tokyo. Also a disney souvenir store nearby for any items you forgot.

I'm giving Ikspiari 5 stars, mainly because it offers many options for dining at reasonable prices near Disney. The same cannot be said for the hotels and Disney parks in the area where you could spend a small fortune on food. There are plenty of western and Japanese food options available at all prices and qualities.

Note that Ikspiari opens at 10am (at least it did when I was there). If you're looking for Breakfast there's a place called Becker's right between the train station and Ikspiari that offers good breakfast at a reasonable price.

Ikspiari is at Tokyo Disney Resort, and is a modern shopping mall consisting of four levels of shopping, a food court and cinema complex.
Accessed from Maihama station, and just a few minutes walk from Tokyo Disneyland bus stations.
The food court offers plenty of choices, particularly the American Diner has some very awesome fresh hamburgers, nicely presented on a tray with sachets of ketchup and napkins. As it's Christmas season, the mall is nicely decorated, and some specials at some retail shops here include Ben & Jerrys Christmas Ice Cream Cake 4500yen, and Krispy Kreme Santa Dozen Donuts 2000yen.
Centre hours are 10am to 11pm, not all outlets close late.
Cinema Ikspiari is Japan's largest 16-screen cinema complex, I do not know if any of the movies are in English!
There is also plenty of daily and evening entertainment up to Christmas Day presented by a happy cast of performers, and Studio Ikspiari, bayFM78, goe's live every Saturday from 3-6pm with the Japan Hot 30!
The Tokyo Disneyland Resort Information Centre is open from 9am to 7pm for advance park entry tickets and gift cards, and all the park information and Vacation Club information.
There's a Docomo Shop for mobiles, JTB tour reservation desk and shops catering to hobby and household goods, men's and women's fashion, jewellery, health and beauty, specialty foods, sweets and pastries, plus the restaurants and food court.
The rainforest cafe is well worth a visit, awesome dining in experience, plus has it's own shop.
Not associated with Disneyland, but there is also a huge Disney store, for all Disney characters and merchandise, located at Celebration Plaza.
Foreign currency cannot be exchanged @ Ikspiari, however ATM's can be used with the appropriate card.
A non-Japanese passport is required to make TAX-free purchases at selected TAX - FREE shops; Archimedes Spiral (watches), Diesel (casual wear), Guess (ladies and mens fashions and goods), Stussy, Lazy Susan, Star Jewellery and more.
Ikspiari is a great place to relax watch the Disney mono rail pass by overhead, shop, eat and have a good time. Totally recommended when visiting TDL Resort. Each time we have been to Tokyo Disney Resort, we always spend a few hours @ Ikspiari and enjoy the experience very much, there's always something interesting happening here, so close to Disneyland!

Ikspiari Mall is a fairly large mall with several levels and is probably the only mall that is located conveniently for guests visiting Disneyland and Disneysea. It has a fairly large Disney souvenir shop, a supermarket, and a foodcourt, amongst other restaurants and eateries. It even has a cinema located within the mall. We had all our dinner at the mall after visits to Disneyland and Disneysea. Located just outside the mall is a Saizeriya restaurant that is popular with a younger crowd because of its reasonable prices and free flow of drinks. Ikspiari Mall is conveniently located next to both Maihama Station along the JR Keiyo Line, and the Resort Gateway Station along the Disney Resort Line. Foreigners at the mall are entitled to a discount card valid for one day and can be obtained at the mall's information counter upon presentation of a passport.
