The tour was very fast paced and we saw a lot of things on the tour, which was good. Terry was a very informative guide. I don’t think I realized this was a red light district tour, however, and he walked so fast that some of us had trouble keeping up. I wouldn’t recommend this tour to families or people who can’t walk quickly. Also, I was kind of surprised he wanted videos of us at the end of the tour.

Amazing alternative tour which offered great insight into Shinjuku area. Terry showed us so many things that we wouldn’t have spotted without him; telling us about the local dating scene, what life is like for young people in Japan, and showing us great bars to visit. His fun and funny personality made us wish he was our guide for all of our Japan trip!
This was a definite highlight of our weekend in Tokyo & I would highly recommend.

Fun and exciting walking adventure around Shinjuku full of fun and memorable moments. Terry is real nice person full of knowledge and energy. He is kind, helpful and knows the area well. He is able to share the culture and the people that make this area come alive at night.

They cancelled my tour without telling me in advance. My husband and I showed up 10 minutes early. Then we waited an additional 20 minutes past the scheduled time as a courtesy while I figured out how to contact them directly through the Trip Advisor website. They wrote back right away that the tour should have been cancelled and sent a refund. I'm glad it was resolved quickly, but we still ended up wasting the evening. Had I known even a couple of hours in advance that they were going to cancel, I could have planned a different activity or tour. Very disappointed.

Fun, informative and just the right length
We enjoyed this 1 hr walking tour of the shinjuku neighbourhood. We took the tour around 5 as it is sooo hot during the day and it was a good time as bars and restaurants were starting to open.
Although it only covered a small area there was a lot more to learn that we had thought. Well worth an hour and made walking around in the evening more enjoyable

Our guide was very knowledgeable. He gave us a lot of insider tidbits to enjoy Shinjuku. We would have missed a lot of local treasures if we didn't book this tour.

Terry was fantastic. He was funny and knowledgeable. Even though the tour was only an hour long, I have learned more about Shinguku than I can on my own for two days. We took Terry’s advice about restaurants and hang out spots and they were excellent. Highly recommended.

I had an amazing experience exploring Shinjuku with Hiroshi! His knowledge of the area was impressive, and he effortlessly showed me the best local restaurants, scenic spots, and even gave insights into the fascinating red light district. Hiroshi's friendly demeanor and enthusiasm made the tour even more enjoyable. Felt like I didn’t miss any hidden gems. The food recommendations were spot-on. I highly recommend Hiroshi as a guide for anyone looking to discover the vibrant essence of Shinjuku.

This tour was much better than expected. I learned a lot of interesting facts about Shinjuku and could then also enter the Warp club for free. Unfortunately, I was the only tour participant and had to wait a bit until more English speaking people entered Warp. However, it was also nice to have a conversation with some outgoing Japanese.
