Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.

- MissPerkyAK391 contributionsCatch This OneWe ended up coming here because we scored last a minute opening at the attached Pokemon Cafe. I was pleased that we were able to walk right into the center. Even though it was busy it wasn't so packed that you couldn't still shop. There was a variety of merchandise beyond plushes.Visited October 2023Travelled with familyWritten 14 October 2023
- RSTTSingapore, Singapore89 contributionsBest place my kids named for whole Japan tripBest place(Pokemon Cafe) which my kids listed. We had queued for Pokemon cafe as we could not make any reservation despite trying. The website is almost gone within seconds. The kids love it cos of the food as well as cartoon dance in the middle of the meal.Visited December 2023Travelled with familyWritten 24 December 2023
- Mateusz OWarsaw, Poland22 contributionsI was expecting more collectable stuffVisited both the shop and the cafe that is next to it (reservation required). Honesty the shop was a little bit underwhelming. Was expecting a lot more collectable stuff like figurines. There is a whole section dedicated to plushies and chances are you will find your beloved pokemon there, but the plushies are very tiny. There is also a limited choice of bigger ones (snorlax, gen 9 starters, eevee, gengar, pikachu) but there are very few pokemon you get to choose from. If you are a fan of some niche pokemon and are hoping to buy merch with your beloved zigzagoon or bidoof: good luck, besides a small plushie there wont be any. Shop seems to focus on box-mons, starters from the recent generation, gen 1 starters and some fan-favourites (mentioned above, like eevee, snorlax, gengar etc.). There are umbrellas, earrings, magnets, blankets, pens, notebooks, stickers, playing cards, cups, chopsticks and some more items I already forgot. The shop doesnt accept contactless payment, you either pay with phisical card or cash, which is suprising considering how much money they make with all these guests. Staff is friendly and helpfull, if you are looking for something specific they offer to check if they have stock.Visited May 2024Travelled as a coupleWritten 14 May 2024

We got here 10min after opening and were given a ticket to come back at 12:30! We only wanted shop not cafe, but still had to come back. Once we got in it was not nearly as big as we thought and had similar stock to all other Pokémon shops we visited. Unless you want the special pikachu at this store just go to another one (sky tree one was great and not as busy)

Variety of goods are very nice and probably best place for pokemon players Bto collect their favorites. But the line for the cashier is too long to wait, really long and longer than you can see from where you are. We were exhausted and we shortened our time to shop at Takashimaya department store where we looked forward to shopping around. please expect to make a line for long time.

If you like Pokémon merchandise then this is the place for you. That is all this place is though. I went thinking there would be some exhibits or other things to do. Minus the cafe it is a shop and nothing more. The long line to check out wrapped around the store. I found another Pokémon store over by Tokyo Sky tree. This place has the exact same stuff and the line was a fraction of what this store was.

This is a dream for Pokemon fans. Everything imaginable and a themed cafe. The plush collection for sale is second to none. So much to see and take in. I was able to buy some Japanese-exclusive items for gifts.

As a life long pokemon fan, this is a must place to visit if you can. Easily spent a couple of hours here just looking around and shopping. Walls filled with just pokemon plushes, decorations, clothes, etc.

I have just returned from a family holiday to Japan. Whilst away we visited the Pokemon Centre in Tokyo, this turned out to be a highlight of the trip as our two teenage children are fans of Pokemon. The Pokemon Centre is located within a department store and is about a 10 minute walk from Tokyo Station. The centre is well stocked with a good range of merchandise, staff are friendly and approachable and ready to assist. Just remember to take your passport if you are able to claim tax free goods.
The Pokémon Centre is located next to the Pokemon Café and we combined the shopping visit with eating in the cafe, however it's best to pre book the Pokemon Cafe before your visit.
I was able to book whilst in the UK and the Café website is easy to naviagte in English.
Should you have Pokemon fans within your family then this Pokemon Centre is worth the visit.

My teenage son is a huge fan - so we went - and were disappointed. Quite a bit to buy, but very much geared to Japanese children under age 10. Merchandise available is geared for young children and their parents. Also very little English spoken or on display as explanations of what items are.

Hi everyone,
Can you remember seeing any giant pokemon game machines at the newest Pokemon Centre at Pokémon Center Tokyo DX? They are called pokemon ga-ole machines.
thank you very much

I recall there being game machines, our boys played on them, but not sure if they are the same as you are referring to!

Should I visit this Pokemon centre or the one in Ikebukuro? I just come there to buy goods and do not care about the interactive games or the cafe.

Is it usually crowded, and is it hard to get to the shelfs you want to see?
Written 9 July 2019
Not really. But I would go early or late. Lots of young kids. Easy to look over their heads!

Will they ship to the US?
