Address
Neighbourhood: Ginza / Tokyo Nihonbashi
Ginza is famous for being a trendy hotspot, but it's also a downtown area with shops that were founded over a hundred years ago. Department stores and luxury boutiques line the route from Nihonbashi to Ginza. It's a long established tradition to shop and stroll while the road is closed to traffic. Luxury hotels, world class cuisine from talented chefs, and a collection of glitzy clubs will make this area popular with anyone looking for a night out.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We happened upon this very special museum when we entered Marunouchi Brick Square and decided to view the current exhibition, which was "All About Mariano Fortuny." It did not disappoint! The historic red-brick building is a wonder in itself. Such a pleasure to walk through the rooms showcasing the exhibition. Easy to navigate, with the fashion and art beautifully displayed. There is also a lovely shop and a charming café. Also, right outside the museum, in Brick Square, are several restaurants and cafés. Definitely worth a visit!

This museum focusses mainly on Mitsubishi’s achievements in aerospace, ship building and electricity generation/transmission. A highlight is being able to have a go on the MRJ flight simulator. Sadly, there is nothing at all related to Mitsubishi motors or electronic/electric appliances. There are several interactive exhibits, but most of these are available in Japanese only. 1 hour is all you need. Would be good for families with children too.

Beautifully restored building in the middle of glass towers. The priority to restore and maintain buildings reflective of a prior period is prevalent throughout the City

Located nearby only 10 minute walk from Tokyo station. Now the exhibition show "The Philips collection". If you like the fine / modern arts then you can enjoy the gallery ( i.e George Braque, Bonnard, Klee, Picasso, Monet etc ). Entrance fee 1500 yen for foreigner.

First of all, i would like to state a disclaimers. This review is based on my opinion and my opinion might not suit your taste. Just sharing info for other travellers to make an informed decision.

Came across this museum by chance as we walked from the Imperial Palace to Tokyo Station. Decided to check it out due to its free admission.

The museum is quite small and it showcased the history of the building and its previous occupants. It also showcased some artworks of Japan and North-East Asia.

I love the multimedia platform of showcasing the artworks, sculptures and potteries. U can zoom in to look at the details.

We went, expecting Toulouse Lautrec, but the whole exhibition was of a very mediocre French artist, Redon. We were in and out of the gallery within seven minutes. 3000 Yen wasted. Nice gallery, but be careful about what you want to see.

If you have all day to spend near Tokyo Central Rail Station...
Visit Mitsubishi Ichigokan Museum. It has nice garden and lots of restaurants and coffee shops. It is hard to believe that this beautiful museum stands in the middle of office buildings. It is small so you feel cozy. If you are art lover, visit Tokyo Station Gallery after visiting this museum.
