It is a shopping center located next to the Kyoto train station. With clothing, shoes and other type of stores, but above all with many restaurant options. There are approximately 20 restaurants to choose from. Good location as it is close to the train station.

My wife and I stayed in Granvia Hotel, Kyoto for a week during our recent holiday in Japan. Porta Dining is just next to the Hotel and there are over a dozen dining places to choose from, all with very reasonable prices.

Tons of shops. Highly accessible. Similar to other shopping areas. If you like shopping, you'll like this place.

Like other basemen shopping malls, Porta provides a great variety of shopping and dining options though all are more for busy city people. Don't expect anything like fine dining there but a good bowl of ramen is easy!

Amazing how many shops and restaurants are brought together in this underground shopping mall. Especially the restaurant wing is a delightful place if you are looking for a restaurant. All kind of options are available here.
