Great 3 hour tour. Atticus was a mine of information and we learned a lot about the places we went and also about Japan in general. Would definitely recommend during a stay in Kyoto. There's a great place for breakfast/lunch just a couple of doors...More

The meeting place is a bit out of the way in a strip shopping area and not well marked but don't let that put you off. Out Guide, Atticus, was a lovely gentle American with a great local knowledge who made sure we were well...More

We were promised a guide who could speak English, not only did our tour guide speak English, but Lianka (sp?) was also very knowledgeable about Japanese history and culture: an engaging, intelligent and worldly guide indeed! Despite the damage done by the recent Typhoon, we...More

Family had a fabulous time with Lianca, she really made it safe and fun for everyone! We enjoyed the casual tour, even with the record heat the morning tour was fine. Thanks for a memorable day!

We had Lianca for a tour guide. She did a great job of explaining history behind temples and traditions- very informative! Visited several temples, geisha district and had some delicious cold tea to cool off in the heat. Highly recommend the tour!!

A district with a long textile heritage, ancient Kyoto
is still alive in the Nishijin District. Studded with

the city, it is a district where you can take it at
your own pace. Visitors can explore the many weaving

There is not much else for your mother to do except walk to one of the nearby temples. It is a quiet neighborhood area. I don't know taxi cost. We went by train and walking. I would guess $10-15.

Hi! Kyoto is cold in the winter but we still run the tours! Our guests usually come prepared with gloves and a warm jacket. With best regards, Ross
