Amazing scenery from the most simple of asian plants. A good walk amongst the Bamboo to reveal Temples and wonderful gardens.

There is a must to go spot in Kyoto. Lovely to spend a day out. Good shoppings and restaurants around. Recommend to all!

The bamboo grove was quite small area and I don’t get what is so great about it. Nature and parks around Kioto is beautiful and compared to other places this was quite disappointing. The area around is full of souvenir shops.

Actually I didn't see any official entrance so I might say that yes it's open everyday. By the other hand yes it's free, no ticket is required. Hope that helps!
