This is a wonderful place, located in Lago General Carrera. It's worth to drive about four hours to get here, because of the beauty and peace that this place can give you.

Because the blue water reflects in the caves, this excursion is well worth it when it's clear weather. We paid 9000 peso's per person and were part of a 7 person group. You arrive at the caves after a 20 minute or so boat ride (no waves or anything) and you spend around 30-40 minutes at different caves. The boat... More

Easter island was nice. The island is a five hour plane ride from Chili inland. I got wonderful photos. There really is not much else to do in Chili. Europe would be good if not for having to climb steps steps and more steps. Where is a good photo place without too many steps? North America of course.

The Capillas de Marmol was one of the best places I visited when travelling by car the Carretera Austral. I highly recommend it! Best from november to march.

This was recommended to me as an alternative to the crowds and high costs of Capillas de Marmol. My tips to you: -Carve out at least one full day. The trips to and from the Capillas to major cities (i.e., Coihaique) are long and rocky. -Take advantage of the surrounding area (i.e., glacier hikes and other cavernas closeby). The tour... More

a beautiful natural marvel - we took a short boat ride on this beautiful lake to see the formations. a little out of the way but the whole area is gorgeous as is the back country travel to get to this remote part of Chile. we can't wait to go back and explore further

The marble caves were our original motivation for heading to Lago General Carrera, although we soon discovered it is just one of the spectacular things to see in the area. Rio Tranquilo is a backpacker's haven - full of grungy, hitchhiking twenty-somethings - but also the center for glacier expeditions, excursions to Laguna San Rafael and boat trips to the... More

We took a tour from Los antiguos so it was a long drive each way. We did get to see lots of nice scenery. We visited the caves by a small boat arranged by our tour and when we arrived at the caves we were the only boat there so we got some good photos. The boat gets taken a... More

A few km out of town there is Bahia Mania or so. They do tours all days for 8000 pesos a person. 8 Persons in an open boat. Also when you don't understand the spanish guide, you see wonderfull things. It is a little eerie and the boat goes in the marble caves (not far). It can be windy and... More
