Enjoyed climbing and getting to the Parrot Rock. Walking and swimming in the sea in Mirissa was great fun.

Interesting!!!

This is one of the popular tourist spots along the Mirissa Beach. We decided not not climb up as it was high tide in the late afternoon and the path looked wet and muddy which may subject to fall from the massive rock, since we thought the view cannot be much different on top of the rock. There were many crows flying around and stopped at the tree trunks on TOP of the rock. Interesting place for a short visit and some photo takings.

View of Indian Ocean from Mirrisa

A top sunset spot in the area. Watching the golden glow filter through the tops of the palm trees was something pretty special. While the lighting and scenery was absolutely beautiful, it was extremely busy for sunset. By the time the sun went down there must have been 50 people milling about at the top of the hill.
As well as enjoying the view from the top of the hill and watching the sun go down from Sunset Bar...

Nice spot

Worth a visit but requires a little scramble up and down the scaffolding so not for the mobility restricted.

A nice climb with a beautiful view over the bay and area
Be careful when climbing a part of the bridge is repaired so you have to walk underneath some bamboo scaffolding

great view

depending on the time you visit, the water can get to waist level, quite fun to try to walk to the rock, once up there, you get to see the whole horizon of the sea and also all of Mirissa

If you are on mirissa Beach why not, I wouldn't recommend anyone to go here if you need to travel for it.

A few hours after I was there 100 people were queuing to cross the water, no idea why or how they got there but seemed like a scam.

If you are looking for a cool panorama picture or some sort of dating site profile you could easily get your picture but that is about it. No parrots as far as the eye can reach.

Great spot for taking photos

Great place to take pictures of the surroundings, sunrise and sunsets are beautiful, getting on it is a little tricky because the way is poorly made. I don't know why its called parrots rock because I saw only crows. But anyway a cool place to daze away.

An Early Morning Stop
Dec. 2019
We made our way up the "bridge" early morning before it was too heavily trafficked. Nice views and peaceful seating areas. Super easy to access, right off Mirissa Beach.

Beautiful Spot for Sunset
Dec. 2019
Highly recommend visitng at sunset. A bit of a wonky hike up the rock but there are some bamboo. Best to not bring too many valuables or to carry them in your pocket. Great views of the main beach.
