Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I found it difficult to get clear information about this walk. I started off full of enthusiasm but it was tough and I gave up - knowing that I had the return walk to the car to manage. The walk is very steep in places and the inclines are long and hard. About half of the part of the walk I did was sheltered the rest is open to the sun. I agree with all that was said in a 2016 review on this website. It’s not an easy walk and would certainly recommend wearing walking shoes/boots rather than training shoes. From info on this website and talking to others, three hours plus sounds about the time needed. Maybe I’ll do some training and return one day.

We arrived at the red blades starting from the Fiastra dam car park.
Starting from our path in about 1 hour you reach the blades. We didn't find it particularly difficult, only the last gravel stretch is steep, but if you walk slowly you can still do it.

Great hike! Very uphill and steep in places so I wouldn't recommend if you don't like long walks, have a bad back/knees.
Lovely to reach the top relax eat a little lunch and see the stunning views.
Can get cold at the top in milder weather so a light jacket might be appropriate but the walk is hard so you warm up when walking.
I did it in just under 3 hours walking at a mild pace stopping every now and then for pictures and resting at the top for 15-20 minutes.

This is a magical place! The hike there could be a bit strenuous for the average person. Well worth it but be prepared for quite a bit of uphill walking. It is not a leisurely stroll. After about an hour and a half we came upon these giant red rocks, reminiscent of the southwest US, but here so very out of place. It seems like you have left Italy and landed somewhere else. Reaching the town of Fiastra, follow the sign for the lame rosse, which will take you to an overlook where you can park and head down toward the dam, which is on the other side of the lake. The other option is to park at the dam and cross the lake, which is a bit shorter. Plan on at least 2 hours round trip, if you are in good shape, plus whatever time you want to spend hanging out at the rocks. I am in so so shape and did it in 2 1/2 hours.

Nice fairly easy hike up to the gorge. Worthwille going if you are in the area. The ”mini grand canyon” is quite spectacular.

We recently did the 8km (round-trip) hike from Lake Fiastra to the Lame Rosse rock formations. They are really beautiful and look like something you would see in southern UT. The trail leading up to the formations is not too difficult, nothing really too steep. Make sure you pack a snack to eat after you reach the formations.

Very worthwhile, a short walk to the Lame Rosse and this mini-Colorado was very exiting. A must see in Le Marche.

From Fiastra Dam we walked for about two hours. The walk is said to be easy but it is mostly uphill and quite steep at times (especially the last few metres, just before reaching Lame Rosse).
I can suggest to go there early morning to enjoy a bit of shade once you get there... Take time to enjoy the walk and the lake views!

A beautiful, very simple and not particularly tiring walk allows you to reach these beautiful rocks sculpted by natural erosion. We think that certain spectacles can only be admired on other continents, but instead we have them just around the corner.

Written 17 August 2019
Written 13 October 2019
Beh no. Un sentiero agevole ti conduce alla Lame. In montagna camminare fa bene all'anima ed al corpo.

Dipende.
