This church has a wonderful ceiling, painted as the sky with stars in it. Not as elaborate as the churches in High Hill and Praha, but our favorite. Local tip: If you are continuing on to St. Mary's in High Hill, take the small road...More

We did not have time to view all the painted churches in the Schulenburg TX area so I just picked two that were close together. This was the second church we viewed and it is not as elaborate as St. Mary’s at Highill, but still...More

Be sure to take a guided tour of this one. Without a guide, one can only stand inside the front door and look through a closed gate.

A Texas must see. If you can only make one of them this little jewel in Dubina is a short drive from Highway 90 and worth the stop. Very inspirational.

The venue with its oak trees and old cemetery are so spiritual. Lots of colorful wide birds and wildflowers. St Cyril and Methodias were brothers and missionaries-- this tribute to them all s spectacular.

If you're lucky enough to happen upon this particular one of the Painted Churches while the music director is rehearsing for weekly mass, you'll feel like you're in heaven! We could've spent all day listening to her sing while we explored the church. What a...More
