Your team is locked in an immersive puzzle room surrounded by hidden and mysterious objects with only 60 minutes to escape. Solve puzzles and riddles using clues, hints and strategy to complete the mission and escape the room before the clock runs out.

Excellent fun for a birthday party it's challenging, scary and a bit different. We have been a few times now for our kids birthday parties the 10yr old party was a huge hit lots of darkness and screaming and something different for the teenager and a few friends. The dressup photo afterwards is a nice touch and a great memory. Thanks team Xcape you guys are great!

Our family of 5 visited Xcape’s Lost Tomb of Monthu for my birthday. This was our first escape room experience. Everyone, including our children (7, 9, 11), were actively involved and engrossed throughout the full experience. The rooms and all of the props contained within them were very well thought out and executed. It felt like the real deal! Added details such as the cinematic intro, lighting and music were done very professionally and further enhanced the experience. The use of technology throughout was especially impressive. There was also a vast variety of creative clues and tasks to undertake each step of the way. We were really blown away by this escape room (pun not intended). It was a great exercise in teamwork for our whānau, and is something we are already planning on doing again in the future. I guess my only negative comment would be that there are not many ‘child-friendly’ options to choose from, but we certainly have the Crown Jewels room in our sights next! Thank you to the Xcape team too, you guys were all very helpful and happy to deal with also!

I really enjoy Xcape Wellington's escape rooms. The puzzles are challenging but not too difficult (except for the distracting red herrings that almost make sense. I think we spent 15 minutes coming up with a string of the correct amount of numbers that lead nowhere). Unlike other escape rooms I've tried, the puzzles here are very thoughtful and build on the story they've created.

This was a b’day gift for my sister as she’s always wanted to try these Escape rooms. We chose the Asylum room and I have to say, probably should have tried another room that wasn’t as scary or a bit easier considering it was all of our first time doing this sorta thing and the Asylum room was one of their hardest ones😅
We half the time thought someone was going to jump out and scare us🤦🏽♀️ overall it was a great experience, we got the gist of it and decided the next time we do this again we gotta have a strategy. The hosts were super friendly, had good energy and made you feel comfortable.

I've done 4 escape rooms at Xcape Wellington and each was as exciting, exhilarating and challenging as the next! The rooms are designed and decorated so you feel utterly immersed into the story line you've chosen and the puzzles required to move on to the next step are well planned out and exceptionally brilliant! I've done several escape rooms around the north island, but none compare to Xcape wellington. I can't wait to come back again and escape another heart racing room. Also a big shout out to the lovely brunette girl at the front desk (sorry I didn't get your name) you are absolutely lovely, bubbly, friendly and made the experience even more delightful.

Really enjoyable experience. Have never done an escape room before, so wasn't sure what to expect but it was great. We chose a difficult room so had to use heaps of clues but that didn't damper the fun. We had to work together and use our brains, it was challenging but fun. Two adults and two teens all loved it.

Great indoor activity that challenges the mind and makes the participants work together. Very realistic setting, top notch props, fitting background noises. This is our second time here, love it, will go back to challenge our third room in the future

This is the 2nd year running we've returned for our teenager's birthday gathering with his friends. Fantastic setup at the Xcape Room Lower Hutt. Highly recommend! Easy to book. Great room options with enough complexity to get them thinking and they had loads of fun going through.

Easily one of the best escape rooms we've ever been to - my partner and I absolutely loved the Asylum and Pirate themed rooms.
Incredibly immersive, great sound design, some of the best and most interesting puzzles we've encountered. The space is larger than the escape rooms in the city, and they use every bit of that space well. Enthusiastic and helpful staff to boot.
It's a bit of a journey from Wellington central, but well worth the visit!

Good escape room, fun puzzles. We almost didn't get out! A bit linear - can't really split the group and work on separate things very often. Some clever twists. We felt a bit rushed out once we were done, and the photo we got afterwards was pretty poor quality and weird looking.
