Merridale is a delicious destination in Cowichan —an apple orchard, craft cider house, small batch distillery, and wedding/event venue. Join us for a cider and spirits tasting; savour farm to table cuisine in our gastropub; fresh baked goods made from cider leaven in our bakery; discover our traditional cider and spirits methods on our tours; stroll the orchard while your kids search for the mystical faeries rumoured to live here; shop in our farmhouse store for unique artisan wares; relax in our lounge with cocktails, cider and spirit flights, and appetizers for pairing; overnight in a yurt or book a wedding/event. Open daily. Visit our website for hours and special events, like Sunday pizza nights and our fall dinner series!

I have been to Merrydale in the past, for cider and a wedding. Both we wonderful and well executed. This time we went to taste they distillary products. It passed the test. Tasted great and wonderfully presented. Their staff is well trained and enjoyable.

Excellent lunch and interesting variety of ciders. The service was amazing. We were short of time, so did not get to take advantage of the tour. A good lunch stop while touring the wine country. Funny thing to say, but they had the best fries...More

We booked a stay in the smaller of the two Yurts Merridale has on the property. Having never stayed in a yurt before there were no expectations. We arrived shortly before 5 p.m., after a beautiful drive through the farm filled valley and roads lined...More

Beautiful surrounding, a dream place and very special. And frankly speaking - we knew that it was a pizza place, nice pizzas and service. But this is such a shame, as the overall package could and should have been for something much smarter than a...More

Grab a drink from the tasting room and they will put it in a plastic cup if you tell them you'd like to go outside. Adirondack chairs to lounge in while looking over the cidery and orchard. Great fun on a sunny day!

This place looks really nice. When you first arrive, the large, open, quiet countryside setting is very appealing. There are whimsical decorations, a small self-guided tour available, and many nice little places to sit down for a drink. Unfortunately, it just goes downhill beyond that....More
