Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Nice place for a short stay or a longer sun-bath. Close to the beach, in the harbour-area, where you can find "Parrie" the stingray. Step into the water and he will come close to you.

At struisbaai you will get one of the best swimming beaches in South Africa. The swimmimg area are very nice and clean where you can tan. The waves are nice to boogie board and there are lifeavers on duty. You can enjoy the sun the hole day. Ablution are nearby. This is a must visit.

I have been visiting this beach since 1998. I must say that this is still the best beach in South Africa and ideal for a sea holiday.

The beach is clean and the ocean is deep blue. You can walk for miles or go into the ocean and feel the calm wash over you. We visit Struisbaai beach every year, even if it is just for a day.

Struisbaai beach is truly remarkable with its white sands and seemingly endless coastline. This is a fantastic spot for both shore anglers and fishing boats. Swimming is safe at the beach and walking alongside the water here is so relaxing.
Diving is a very popular sport due to the rich waters with lots to see, as is horse riding, kite sailing, body boarding, surfing and kayaking.
Photographers and artists are drawn to the area because of the stunning surroundings and the busy fishing harbour.

We were in struisbaai in mid winter. There are long white beaches to walk on. There are also elevated pathways between the caravan park and the harbour.

An approachable beach with lots of bits washing up from old shipwrecks to sea life like sponge and shells. Better for walking than the most southerly point as there is more sand and less rock.

We went to this beach a few times as my son loves the waves. At Sruisbaai harbour, there's not a lot of waves so he enjoyed the beach way more. Both were enjoyable for us to just sit on the beach and watch him, or walk around to collect shells. We even saw a live little star fish that washed out on the beach, which my boyfriend tried saving by taking him to the rockier side of the beach to place back in the ocean. There's little hermit crabs everywhere by the rocks so we all enjoyed our outings here a lot.
